MAN DEAD IN ROOM.

At 11 o'clock this morning, when the City Missioner, the Rev. Jasper Calder, called at a boiirdinghouso in Vincent Street to see David Jack, aged'7o, he found him lying dead upon the floor. Jack, who had not worked for ten years, had been staying at the board- 1 inghouse some time. Recently he had been in ill-health and suffered with his heart. So weak and helpless had he become that Mr. Calder deemed it advisable to have him removed to a home, and it was for that purpose that he called this morning. He had been visiting him frequently. The man would not have any breakfast this- morning, stating that he was not hungry, and preferred to be left alone. It is probable that an inquest will-be ■atnaeceesary. '■"' ''■'•■ - ' \'"• '■
