ROTORUA NOTES.

Mrs. W. Bridle, who has been visiting Rotorua, has returned to Waiuku. Miss I. Lasenby, Hinemoa Street', has returned from Whangarei and Auckland. Mrs. N.. M. Keane and family are spending the holidays at Ohope Beach. Miss Isles, Te Ngae Eoad, is spending a holiday at Mount Maunganui. Miss H. St. C'lair, Ranolf Street, is staying at Waiatarua, Waltakere Ranges. Mrs. Nicliale, who lias been the guest of Mvs. J. Halkett, Pukuatua Street, has left for Napier. Mrs. Walter Willis, of Wanganui, is the guest of her sister, Mrs. G.' Barber, Arawa Street. Mrs. John Fuller, sen., of Mount Eden, and Mrs. Webster, Ponsonby, who have been guests at Hotel Arawa while in Rotorua, have motored through to Taupo, Napier and Wellington. Mrs. Boucher, Ohiriemntu, has returned from her summer residence at Lake Rotoiti. Mr. and Mrs. D. Vaughan and family, have returned to Belmont, Takapu-na, from a motor tour of Taupo and Rotorua. Mr., and Mrs.'W.Lindsay and Miss B.Lindsay, Pukuatua Street, have returned from To Aroha. The Rev. A. C. Randcrson and Mrs. Randerson, Pukuatua Street, arc on n visit to Auckland. Miss Judy Harrison, of- Northcote, has been visiting Rotorua and has left for Napier. Mr. 'and Mrs. Laurenson and daughter, of Auckland, are the.guests of Archdeacon- and Mrs. F. W. C'hatterton, The Vicarage, Hinemoa Street. Mrs. McCarthy, of Waihi, is the guest of her mother, Mrs. W. ~D. "Young, Pukaki Street. Mrs. J. H. Taylor has returned from a ' visit to the Waikato. Mrs. Hawke, of Wanganui, is visiting Rotorua. Mrs. Niclioli and Mrs. Marriott, of Wellington,, are on a visit to Rotorua. . ,

Mr. and-Mrs. Bellis, of Ptilinerston North, are on an -extended motor tour of the thermal district. Miss J. Giesen and Miss M. Cooney have returned from a holiday to C'hristchureh, where they were the guests of Mrs. E. Young. Mrs. Lennard, of Auckland, is visiting Rotorua.

On Wednesday a successful dance was held at the Sylvana Ballroom, Ranolf Street. The ballroorn was attractively decorated with multi-coloured streamers, balloons, and ferns.

An enjoyable dance was held at th -> Majestic Ballroom on Thursday evening. in aid of the business cjiieen in the municipal queen carnival. Several novelty dances were held.
