RANGITOTO TO CHELTENHAM.

MISS GLEITZE'S INTENTION

SWIM ON WEDNESDAY.

Miss Mercedes Gleitze, the English endurance swimmer, who on Sunday morning successfully completed a world's record endurance swim of 43 hours in the tepid baths, will, next Wednesday, attempt to swim from Kangitoto -wharf to 'Cheltenham Beach. She will start at noon. The distance, as the crow flies, is about three miles and a half. She will leave Auckland at 11 a.m.

To-night Miss Gleitze will lecture on her swims across the Hellespont and the Sea of Marmora. Both lectures will be illustrated by miniature moving films.
