At th.e Police Court this morning a young, man; whose name was ordered 'to.be suppressed pleaded guilty to being intoxicated when in'charge of a motor cycle. ' Sergeant Cahvell said accused fell from the machine at Devil's Elbow, on the Waihi Beach Eoad, yesterday, and was then arrested.

Mr. Clark, for accused, said lie had been haymaking all day and had taken little food. Prior to getting on the machine he drank eonie home brew which badly affected him during the journey. He was not addicted to drink.
The Bench took a lenient view of the case and imposed a fine of £3, with costs.
