HORSES FOR FOXTON.
TRAINING AT HAWERA.
TENACRE AND SILVER RULE WELL,
(By Telegraph.—Special to "Star."). HAWERA, this day. J. Brown left by express for Foxton this morning with Tenacre and Silver Rule. Both horses ihave been doing excellent work, The former will probably be ridden by H. Gray, while B. J. Flower, the stable apprentice, will pilot Silver Rule. Corwen and Kawhakina also went South. Training operations at the Hawera course this morning comprised mostly pace work, the tracks being heavy after the recent rains. Silver Rule and Chief Link sprinted three furlongs on the outside of the course proper in 38Jβ. Attentive, Peter Jackson, Glad Star and Ripple Song took 39s for the same distance, as did also Barbara Kent and Hampden. Paitonu and Compulsory ran four furlongs in 545.
