MAN SEEKS IMPRISONMENT
"This man has given way to drink tl;is last few years, and has been neglecting himself, with the result that he is in such a state," said Detective-Sergeant Kelly, about James Sliarkey (54), hairdresser, who appeared at the Polic Court this morning on a charge of deeming him to be a rogue and vagabond with insufficient means of support. Sharkey pleaded guilty. Mr. Kelly added that Sharkey called at the police station yesterday and asked to be locked up. Sliarkey was remanded in custody for a week. ' :
