Expressions of deep sympathy with the King and members of the Royal Family on the death of the Princess Royal were expressed by the chairman, Lord Sankey, and members of the Federal Structure Sub-Committee of the Round Table Conference now sitting in London on the subject of the future administration of India. The Lord Chamberlain's office announces that there will be four weeksfull and two weeks' half mourning for the Princess Royal. King George and Queen Mary learned of the death of tke> Princess Royal by telephone. It..is expected that she wiil be buried at Frogmore, where "other members of the Royal Family" were buried.

GOVERNOR SENDS MESSAGE. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) WELLINGTON, .Monday. The Governor-General,; Lord Bledisioe/ has sent the following message to the King on the occasion of the death of the Princess Royal:—"1 beg to express to Your Majesty, with my humble duty, the respectful sympathy of the Government and people of New Zealand on the death of Her Royal Highness the Princess Royal, the' news of which has been received with the deepest regret by Your Majesty's subjects ,in this Dominion." The following cablegram has been received by the Govenor-General in reply to his message of condolence: "I would ask you to convey to the members of the Government and the people of New Zealand, my grateful thanks for their kind message of sympathy in my sad bereavement.—George R. I."
