OFFICERS DRAW WEAPONS.

(Received 11 a.m.) BRISBANE, this day. The shearers' strike in North Queensland is causing trouble. When a batch of southern shearers arrived afc Mildura Station under police escort they were oiet by 200 local pastoral workers. The police drew, revolvers and challenged the local men for obstructing the King's highway. The men then assuredthe police that they did not intend to use force and later persuaded some of the visitors to join their cause.
