PERSIAN ART.

International Exhibition in Lortdon.

LIKE THE "ARABIAN NIGHTS."

(Reived 11.30 a.m.) LOKDON, January 5. To make "the golden journey _to Samarkand" it is only necessary to visit the International Exhibition of Persian Art assembled from all parts of the world at the Royal Academy under the patronage of His Majesty the King and the Shah of Persia. A preliminary view discloses the delicate tracery of priceless illuminated manuscripts, historic carpets centuries old, also weapons, jewellery, _ glass, crystal, paintings and tissues in profusion such as are unimaginable outside the "Arabian Nights." A most striking display is contained in a showcase guarded by radiovisor light with a sensitive bridge. Any interruption of the ray releases a switch and illuminates a warning signal in the main entrance and turnstiles of the exhibition, closing all doors.
