LIB BLOWN FROM TIN. ACCIDENT AT PICNIC. (By Telegraph.—Own Correspondent.) * TE AWAMUTU, this day. While attending a picnic a Te Awamutu boy, Gordon Martin, had a narrow escape of losing his eyesight. In the course of boiling water he rammed the lid on a 21b treacle tin, with the result that, when the water came to the boil the lid was blown off. The boy was badly scalded about the face and head. He is now progressing favourably.
