Mr. "and. Mrs. A. W. Shaw, Ranoli Street, have returned 1 from a visit tc Auckland. Miss Connie Graham, oi Ponsonby, is on a visit to tßotorua. Hickson and family have returned from a holiday at Wanganni and the National Park. _ Mrs. Henry, of Ponsonby, is on a visit to Rotorua. Mr. and Mrs.. R. E. Watkin, of Enfield, London, who have been at Waiwera House while in Rotorua, have left for the South- Island. Mr."" and Mrs. H. H. Martiiidale, Eaeon .Street, are spending a holiday in Auckland. Mr.and Mrs. Val. Maxwell, -Auckland) are spending the holidays at Ngciigotaha. Mr. and Mrs. P. C. Bunyard, Amohia Street, have returned from a visit to Auckland. Miss D. Corlett lias returned from -Ngaruawaliia. Sister Stanton, King George V. Hospital, lias returned from a month's holiday spent in Auckland. The Rev.; J. W. Burley and Mrs. Burley, of Tauniaruuui, are on a visit to Rotorua. Mrs.; A. H. Tripe, Hinempa Street, .is 011 a short visit to Auckland. Mr. and Mrs; V. J. Lamer, Re'muera, arc guests at Prince's Gate. ' , _• • • A successful dance was held at the Sylvana Ballroom, Ranolt' Street, oil Friday, evening, in aid" of the Visitors' Queen, Miss" Mary Bertram. Fully 700 people were present and the miniature golf course was well patronised. The Monte Carlo prizes were won by Miss Willeox and Mr... Parsons. A varied programme was presented in, the Majestic Theatre on Sunday even-' ing'to raise-funds for the Maori Queen and the Visitors' Queen in the municipal queen carnival. Items were given by the Kotorua. Town Band and the Kotorua.Maori Choii'i * iSnnus were sung bv Miss Cutting. Miss Penny, Air. T. S. ' .Tonkin. Mr. W. -T. Meredith. Mr. Pask, Mr. Pruss Stewart, Miss Rewa Wa Imsley; vocal, duet, Miss Peuny and Mr. Pask; recitations, .Mrs,'McGregor. The accompaniments were played by I Miss Dorothv'Prietor.
