Britain, Italy and France as Competitors.

Entries for the Schneider Oup race, which is to be flown over the Solent in September, closed at midnight on Wednesday night. The competitors will be Britain, Italy and France. Britain .will rely mainly on the seaplanes which took part in the 1929 race. Two each of the Supermarine S6 and -Gloucester-Napier VI seaplanes are now at Felixstowe, where they have been -used in the past year to check data obtained with models in. wind tunnel tests. The Air Ministry is prepared to lend these on certain conditions, but the Government has announced, that, it will not again take charge of the British, entry. The question of rseising a team of pilots for the British machines is • still under consideration.
