AUCKLAND'S YEARLY FIGURES LARGE EXCESS OP ARRIVALS. During 1930, 15,530 people landed at Auckland and 12,40(5 sailed "from here, according to the records of the Customs Department of the arrivals, and departures through the port of Auckland. The excess of arrivals over departures was 3130, as compared with 2108 last year, when 15,842 arrived .and 13,734 departed. A great deal of the excess fov this-year is accounted, for, by the December figures,' which show-that'2l2B arrived and only 827 departed.' In the same month last year there were 2639 arrivals and 1201 departures. .... ' The greater number of those -who arrived last month came from Australia as their last, place of call. There were 1400 front Australia, ' 404 from Great Britain, 145 from Canada, 119 from Pacific Islands, and four from, the United States. Australia was the goal for GO9 departures from Auckland, Canada that for 98, Britain for 09,' Pacific Islands for 47, and the United States for four. .
