DOMINIONS' CHOICE.

Cabinets to Select Future Governors. CONFERENCE DECISION. (Received 1 p.m.) LONDON, November 4. An outcome: of an Imperial Conference decision to-day is that Australia's next Governor-General will be recommended to His Majesty by the Australian not the British Cabinet. It was Lord Sankey's committee on inter-Imperial relations that unanimously agreed that the constitutional practice whereby His Majesty acts on the advice of his responsible Ministers henceforth should apply to Governors-General throughout the Empire, as in other matters, and that the Ministers in the Dominions concerned are the Ministers tendering and responsible for such advice.
