ELECTRIC FUSE.
ENGINEER SURVIVOR'S VIEW. (Received 1 p.m.) LONDON", October (5. The foreman engineer, Leech, made a new statement that the ship was weathering a storm well over Beauvais, and. the engines were normal, when the vessel made a sudden nose dip, straightened out, and dipped again at an angle of 45 degrees, striking the. hill. "I counted a second or two between the crash and the explosion, which was followed by the roar of flames. Personally, I believe the explosion was the result of a breakage of the electric wires."
