FUTURE OF RIOO.
WHAT OP EMPIRE ROUTES ? (Received 1.30 p.m.) LONDON, October 6. The. question is being asked: What will the future of RIOO be ? She is precluded from pioneer work on the India service because of her petrol engines. The Air Ministry has declined to allow this type of airship for tropical climates. It depends-largely on the Government's future airship policy whether the RIOO will be re-equipped for oil burning engines to enable her to complete the programme of Empire flights laid down.
