MOTUTARA DOMAIN BOARD.
Mr. T. Moore presided over a public meeting in the Waimaukn Hall, when officers of the Motntara- Domain Board were elected for the ensuing year as follows:—Chairman. Mr. T. Moore; secretary, Mr. Ralph; executive, Messrs. Allen, J. B. Copeland, L. Wightman, G-. Campbell (Auckland), representing A.A.A., C. West, representing the Helensville Town Board; and L. Kerr-Taylor, representing the Waitemata County Council. A discussion arose concerning the practice of taking toheroas from the beach for commercial purposes. It was decided to write to the Native Minister to see if anything could be done to prevent it, as the practice is depriving the local natives of their staple food. It was proposed that Mr. Hamilton, nn old native identity of Muriwai, be ranger, and act as guide to yfsitors to Muvhvai Brack
