MAN WHO SOUGHT FOR HELP. THROAT AND WRIST GASHED. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.)! PALMERSTON NORTH, this day. following' admission to the Palmerston North Hospital 011 Wednesday evening suffering from severe wounds is the throat, Norman Wheeler, of Feilding, succumbed at the institution at five o'clock yesterday. When he was admitted the condition of Wheeler was so serious that it was not expected ho would recover. He is survived by a widow, hut there is no family. With gashes in his throat and wrist, Wheeler walked aibout a quarter of a mile from his house late at night, evidently looking for assistance. The knife had missed the arteries in each place, but the larynx was ent through, and Wheeler could not speak.
