AN APPEAL FOR CLOTHING.
In one-week we shall be closing" Manna House. To-day 235 unemployed imen -were served -with a meal. Tie majority of these workless men will be faced with the necessity ff of tramping ipto the country, in search of a living. Their plight is a pitiable one. Their lack of overcoats, rugs or blankets for swags,- . their thin, patched trousers,, shlr.fcs hanging in shreds, with little or no .underclothing to keep out the biting night winds, boots which will not hold together, sharp stones piercing feet through the holes, cause grave anxiety. We cannot allow them to leave us without making a final appeal for , their needs to a public always most sympathetic. Any size of . boots and any kind of clothins for all kinds of men will be gratefully received or collected. Address, No. 11, Picton Street. SISTER ESTHER.
