HOSPITALITY VOTE.
VISITORS TO NEW ZEALAND. WITHIN ESTIMATE OF £2000. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) WELLING TON, Friday. It was announced to-day that the Government intended to keep within the estimate of £2000, {Kissed by the House last evening, for expenditure on the entertainment of distinguished visitors. In 1928 £(1931 was spent in official functions and in entertaining visitors to New Zealand, but that was a particularly eventful year. It included the visit of the Japanese fleet, with which arrived the brother of the Emperor of Japan. The entertainment of that fleet in various ways absorbed an appreciable part of the total. Last vear £4254 was spent, but it is intended, if possible, said Mr. D. Ardell, of the Department of Internal Affairs, to-dav, to keep all functions for 19301931 "within the £2000 voted by the House last evening.
