REV. GEORGE lIEIGHWAY.

The Auckland Congregational Men's ] League met on Thursday at the Mount Eden Congregational Church to do honour to the Rev. George Heigliway in this, the jubilee year of his ministry. The building had been tastefully decorated by the ladies of the Mount Eden Church, the bowls of dallodils and Iceland poppies making a charming scene. There were 80 members and their wives present, and at eight o'clock the president, Mr. J. Gordon Smith, escorted Mr. and Miss Heigliway to the seats of honour. Mr. Smith spoke of the high esteem in which Mr. Heighwav is held throughout New Zealand. For 21 years he laboured in Dunedin, and for the past eight years in Auckland. Mr. Smith read a "sheaf of letters and telegrams received from all parts of the Dominion, sending greetings and congratulations and eulogising Mr. Heighway's record of service.
