STOCK SALE AT TUAKAU.
Messrs. Dalgety and Co., Ltd., report as follows:—At our monthly stock sale held at Tuakau yesterday, a heavy yarding of all classes of cattle came forward. Demand was limited, but values remained about on a par with recent sales. A large number of yearling steers were offered, but for the most part bidding failed to reach the vendors' reserves. Three-year-old steers made up to £8; yearling steers, £4 5/; yearling Polled-Angus heifers, £4 7/6; ' yearling Jersey heifers, £6 15/; empty heifers, £4 10/ to £5 13/. No firstclass dairy cows were offered. Average springing cows and heifers made up to £11 5/; others, £6 10/ to £9 15/. A line |of 126 store wether hoggets sold well, I realising 16/ apiece.
