THE LATEST QUOTATIONS.

(By Telegraph.—Special to "Star.") CHRISTCHURCH, this day. The "Christchurch Times" reports as follows: — Despite the holiday on Monday, turnover 011 the Christchurch'Stock Exchange this week has been very fair. Excluding dealings in the mining section, in which sales of shares of small issue value are numerous, the turnover totalled 5324, aigainst 5727 last week. The bulk of the business was in the banking and brewery groups, and almost without exception prices have eased. Recorded turnover compares as follows with that of the previous period: This week 19,674, last week 25,277. An an&b'sis o? business gives the following result*, with, fiyura for the--pre-vious period in ysrc J'iK&es: Banks 1644 (133q), insurance /10 (nil), loan and agency 200 (1642), breweries 2200 (1200), meat 100 (nil), coal nil (100), mining 14.350 ( 20.550), miscellaneous 1130 (1450). Sales of Government stock amounted to £700, against £300 last week, and ot' company debentures £100, against £500 last week. No local body debentures changed hands.
