FIRE INSURANCE RATES.
PROTEST FROM MORRINSVILLE. (By Telegraph.—Own Correspondent.) MORRINSVILLE, Friday. The opinion that fire insurance rates in Morrinsville were unduly high in comparison with other towns, considering the fire-fighting equipment of the town, was expressed by members of the Morrinsville Borough Council. It was unanimously decided that the council write to the Underwriters' Association pointing out that there was general dissatisfaction in Morrinsville with the rates of fire insurance in the town. Mr. W. Reason said towns like Mata,mata enjoyed lower rates. The council should ask the Underwriters Association why there was this difference, liie council had spent £60,000 on a water supply and were subsidising the ftre 'brigade.
