THE SECOND DAY. Pangolin Beats Haze.—Wainui Handicap to Royal Love. (By Telegraph.—Special to "Star.") ORARI, this day. The Geraldine Racing Club's spring meeting is terminating in favourable weather, the track being in excellent order despite overnight rain, and there is a good attendance. Haze Beaten Again. ' Haze £250, Pangolin £200 and Troilus £197 were the fancies for the Hurdles. Pangolin and Star Stranger 11. were in front early. Pangolin drew away sixfurlongs from home, winning with ridiculous ease by eight lengths.' Haze was third' most of the way, but headed Star Stranger 11. in the straight. Troilus was well back fourth, after a poor race. Pangolin outclassed the opposition. A Reversal of Form. The Silver Salver —Royal Limond bracket ( £325), Royal Love (£309) and Night Recital (£154) were best backed for the Wainui Handicap. Night Recital, Royal Love, Tracsono and Silver Salver were smartest out. Royal Love followed the other three to the straight, and then went on "to win easily by two lengths from Royal Limond, who got up on the post to beat Night Recital by a head, with Silver Salver half a length away. , The winner ran moderately on the first day. Colorado Falls. Logan Fraser (£290), Royal Chenault (£274) and Great de Oro (£197) wero best-backed in the Domain Trot. Pronto Bingen, Eiffelton Lass and Ruth Logan made the early running with Colorado, Lord Matchlight and Great de Oro next. Great de Oro took; charge five furlongs from home, but Eiffelton Lass led to the straight, where Ruth Logan came on to win by two lengths. Lord Matchlight was three lengths away third, then came Great de Oro. Logan Fraser broke soon after the start, and Royal Chenault was never prominent. Colorado fell five furlongs from home.
