POWER BOARD COMPLAINT.
SURCHARGE ON WAITEMATA PAYMENTS. QUESTION IN THE HOUSE. (By Telegraph.—Parliamentary Reporter.) WELLINGTON, this day. In the House of Representatives today Mr. H. G. R. Mason (Labour, Auckland Suburbs) gave notice to ask the Minister of Finance whether he had noticed the reported complaint of members of the Waitemata Power Board that the action of the Auditor-General in surcharging certain' payments was arbitrary and unwarranted. The Minister was asked to have an independent inquiry made into the transactions which occasioned the surcharge.
