RUGBY FOOTBALL.

EDEN PARK ATTRACTION. HOME V. TOURING REPS. The attraction at Eden Park tomorrow afternoon will be a match between the Auckland rep. team which toured the North Island, winning all but the Wellington match, and' the team which represented Auckland in home matches while the other players were on tour. Quite a number of rival players for' the various positions in the city's premier rep. team will be in action, and the result should be spectacular football and an interesting revelation of the abilities of players whose qualities are the subject of much controversy in club circles. The game is set down for 3 p.m., following that of the College RiftcsI'onsonby junior game which is to be staged at 1.30 p.m. This is the first of "the section finals each team having won their section. At showgrounds Marathon and Ota-, huhu senior B section play off for supremacy, both teams finishing level in the competition. Other games of interest will be the third flutter in the intermediate grade when Grafton and Manukau meet and the first of the series of play-offs in the 4th grade, the contestants being Eden and Manukau. The referees are also having a game as a result of their having wrested the Keane Memorial Shield from Ivaipara juniors a couple of weeks ago, and will bo pitted against the P. and T. team at showgrounds. REFEREE APPOINTED.

Charles Montgomery, of To. Puke, has been appointed to releree the final Rugby match between Tauranga and Apanui'(challengers) 011 Saturday for the Hu'runuiApanui Memorial Shield for the supremacy of the sub-uuions under the Bay of Plenty Rugby Union.
