Young has had Author Jinks and John Jinks placed in his hands to he trained for future engagements. Author Jinks is one of the 'best pacers now in commission and a New Zealand Cup candidate, whilst his half-brother, John Jinks, is also a most promising pacer who won the. New Zealand Sapling Stakes. The pacers had previously been in D. Teahan's stable in South Canterbury.
