CADETS IN COMPETITION.
•ST. STEPHEN'S SCHOOLBOYS.
The cadets of St. Stephen's School for • Maori boys were engaged yesterday in • the "annual section drill competition. The i cadets were under the command of Lieut. • P. Smith. Lieut. E. Tingev and Senreant- : Major Smeale acted as judges. Results ■ were:— Fall-in and Inspection.—Xo. 4 Section (Sergeant. H. Tumatahi), 1; No. 3 Sec- , tion, 2; No. 1 Section, 3. Private Rakuraka Rehua (No. 1 Section) and Private Ivito Ivahotea (No. 4 Section) were congratulated by the judges for conspicuous neatness. Rifle Exercises.—No. 4 Scction (Sergeant. Tumatahi), 1; Xo. 3 Section, 2; Xo. 1 Section, 3. Marching.—No. 2 Section (Sergeant T.. Paniora) and Xo. 3 Section (Sergeant Iv.-Kingi), equal, 1; Xo. 1 Section, 3. Physical Drill.—Xo. 4 Section (Sergeant Tumatahi), 1; Xo. 3 Section and No. 1 Section, equal, 2. The points won during the school barracks were as follows:—No. 1 Section (Sergeant H. Rangiihu), 23; No. 2 Section, 22; No. 3 Section, 21; No. 4 Section, IS. The championship cup for 1930 was won by No. 3 Section (Sergeant Kingi), with 49J points, the points won by the other sections being: No. 1, 49; No. 2, 4SJ, No. 4, 4S.
