DIET AND HEALTH.

I cannot help but admire "Perfect Healttv for writing tliose very sane remarks concerning diet in the prevention and cure of disease* If everyone only knew the value of rational diet, the doctors would have to go out or practice. I know of cases where death was imminent, but when all other measures ha? failed the patients were only saved by rational diet. Our bodies are built from tie food we eat, so is it not sensible and to eat food in the form that Nature intended it to be eaten? When one reads of men like Dr. Hutchison, with all his degrees and qualifications, telling people not to eat raff vegetables and then in the same line to eat salads it makes one wonder how long tie medical profession is going to hold the respect and confidence of the people. I have never yet heard or seen a cooked saladAll I have known and eaten have been made of raw vegetables, lettuce, celery, tomatoes, etc. I think the profession has a great man and authority i' l Sir W. Arlmthnot Lane, who advocates Nature's foods eaten in their natural form. SUNK AY. y [Other correspondence appears on page 22j
