11l Friday night's issue of your paper I was reported as having said to tlie shareholders of Wilton Collieries, Limited, that the ■present price war 'between coal companies m the Waikato would hasten the closing down of, at least, two of the smaller mines. ' What I did say was that within the next year or so at least two of the smaller mines would probably cease operations owing to their coal supply having been depleted.
