AUCKLAND ASSOCIATION. The annual meeting of the above association was held at the Ladies' Club Booms yesterday. Owing to the unavoidable absence of the president, Mrs. Schnauer, Mrs. Oswald presided. There was a record attendance. The secretary's report showed the association's finances to be most satisfactory, there being a credit balance of £102 3/9. It was decided to start inter-club matches on November 4. . . ' The New Zealand Croquet Council's North Island championship is to be held in Auckland on January 9. ~ The following office bearers wfcre elected : President, Mrs. Oswald; vice-presidents, Mesdames Badeley, Finch and Hamilton; committee, Mesdames McGill, McGregor, Bruce, White, Thompson, Norton, Ciitforth, delegates to New Zealand Croquet Council, Mesdames Coltman and Cole; hon. auditor, Mr Thomas; hon. secretary and treasurer, Mrs. Heising; assistant hon. secretary, Miss Brown. TAIHAPE CLUB. A large attendance of members was present at the annual meeting of the Taihape Croquet Club, Mrs. H. Bradley presiding. The annual report showed a season of progress, while the balance-sheet revealed the club to be well in funds, due mainly to the Paddy's Market conducted in conjunction with'the bowling club Inst season.
