Court to-day gave its opinion, on the question of the working of the Harbour Board's two new electria cranes. The watersidere have lield up the use of the cranes, contending that they should be worked, by their union members, whereas the board! decided to employ permanent hands. Mr. "justice Frazer stated, that liavingj regard to the construction, intricacy, and potential danger of mechanical electric cranes the board was entitled to decide whether it would employ casual waterside workers or its permanent hands to drive them, and' if it elected to do tie latter these workers were exempt front the award.
