ZOOLOGICAL SOCIETY.
LECTURES TO BE BROADCAST. have been made by the Auckland Zoological Society tor a series of three lectures to be broadcast from IYI Auckland durincr October. The tirst lecture will bo delivered by the Rev. Insus Mac Donald, 0.8.E.. on Friday, October 10. Mr. Mac Donald, who is an authority on Egyptian life, will speak on "The" Sacred Ibis of the Egyptians." On October 17, Mr. J. B. Paterson, chairman of the parks committee of the Auckland City Council, will give a. broadcast talk ou "the Auckland Zoological Park, and on October 24 Professor J. C. Sperrin-Johnson, president of the Zoological Society, will give a "Survey of Recent Advancement in Zoology." On Saturday afternoon, October 11, Professor Sperrin-Johnson will lead, a party of members of the society on a conducted, visit through, the Zoological Park, and will explain the numerous animal groups.
