FURNITURE REMOVED.

MEN CHABGED WITH THEFT. BOTH GRANTED BAIL. Arrested yesterday by Detectives Allen and Moore, Thomas Claude Bond (30), a labourer, and Raymond William Dorricotfc (25), motor driver, appeared at the Police Court this morning, each being charged with breaking and entering by day, on September IS, the house of S. L Crookes, at Waitakere, and stealing two dressing tables, three mattresses and five rugs, of a total value of £16 10/. Chief Detective Hajnmond obtained remands in each case until September 29. Wlien the question of bail was men tioned by Mr. A. Smyth, who represented Dorrkott, a one-legged man, Mr. Hammond said, ' : They simply took the whole inside out of the cottage and sold it to dealers." Mr. Smyth said hie client was a carrier and "had instructed him that he wae not in any way guilty of theit, as he had been engaged by another man to remove the furniture. Both accused were admitted to bail in sums of £50.
