GRAFTQH CLUB, The annual meeting of the Gr*fton United Cricket Club was held on Tuadaj evening, when Mr. B. W. Bowntm nrtsided over a fair attendance of new and old members. The report of las? season's operation! showed that the dub had enjoyed a eatiefactory year. YVith several new and pronjieing members joining up the dub should have excellent prospects for the new !season. C. F. W. Allcott and B. W. Bow* tree represented Auckland in Plunket Shield games, whilst Allcott was selected SI captain oil the Auckland team. The election of officers resulted:—Patron, Mr. s. Hesketh; vice-patron, Mr. A, Freeman; president, Mr. S. Garland; vice-preei-dents, Messrs. G. Goodwin, G. H. foster, W. L. Wyber, I. S. Cantrell, D. J. Hammill, Geo. Hunt, I. Culpan, J. Harrison and H. P. Griffin; dub captain, G. Sale; •ecrt* tary and treasurer, E. J. Thomas; management committee, B. Horspool, C. F. Alleott, H. A. Hansen, E. Dunning, C. Walters and N. H. Hockin; selection committee, E. Horspool, C. Allcott and E. J. Thomas; delegates to A.C.A., Messrs. B. W. Bown-< tree, C. F. Allcott and C. A. Suedden. As a mark of appreciation for services rendered to the club for 25 years, Mr. R. G, Sloman was elected a life member. It was decided that the club make application, to the A.C.A. for the attach-* ment to the dub of A. F. Wensley,
