OBITUARY.

MRS. I. B. SL BUTCHART. (By Telegraph.—Own Correspondent.) CAMBRIDGE, this day. The sudden death of a well-known Cambridge resident, Mrs. Ida Bella- Kinnear Butchart, occurred shortly before noon on September 24. An inquest was held by Mr. Wyvern Wilson, S.M., when a verdict was returned that death was due to apoplexy. Mrs. Butchart was . born, at Forfar, Scotland, and with her faihily came to New Zealand about 26 years ago. She lived for a time at Stratford and Wanganui, and came to Cambridge ten years ago. She is survived by four sons and three daughters. MRS. NEWTON KING. (By Telegraph.—Own Correspondent.) NEW PLYMOUTH, Wednesday. The death occurred yesterday of Mrs. Mary King, widow of the late Mr. Newton King. Mrs. King was the! youngest daughter of Dr. St. George and the granddaughter of Mr. J. T. Shaw, both pioneer settlers who arrived in New Plymouth in 1841 by the ship Amelia Thompson. She was greatly interested in the Plunket Society and was patroness of the New Plymouth branch. She is survived by the following sons and daughters: Mrs. Sydney Allen.. New Plymouth; Mrs. Noel Fookes. Waitara: Messrs. Truby King, Stratford; Walclyve King, New Plymouth; and Eliot King.
