EXHIBITION OF GOODS.

OPENING- THIS EVENING.

NEW • ZEALAND-MADE ARTICLES.

The exhibition of New Zealand-made goods, thie proceeds from the • sale of which will be given to the funds of the Auckland branch of the British Empire Cancer Campaign, will be opened in the Queen's Arcade by the Countess of Or,ford this evening and will remain open for the next three months. This show-

- The articles are arranged, according to class, in;various.' rooms,.muchthesame as though they were in a shop. There are some twenty divisions, and the total value is over £1000.: The most important classes of goods are drapery, ; furniture, millinery,. statipnery, : "fancy .'goods', elec-; trical and anotor goods. ■ Ther.e .is • also a fine display of 'brass ware- and ; art ware of various kinds., • ' • ; •

All the money collected will be at the disposal ;of the local executive of the cancer campaign, and will be spent chiefly in the Auckland Province.,: The special objects of the drive are the establishment of cancer : clinics and " the treatment of local, patients. To sell, the goods' subscription lists are being, distributed and any person who gives 2/6' or more will be entitled to bid 'for any article. The highest bidder' will be accepted as the buyer. " t Before the opening .of., the;- exhibition, at 7.30 p.m., musical selections , will be given by the Mount Eden Boys' Band. .
