WORTH SHORE CLUB.

In spite of heavy expenditure in improving the playing area and pavilion, the balance-sheet presented at the annual meeting of the North Shore Cricket Club last night disclosed a satisfactory financial position. The president, Dr. H. C. Bennett, presided. The report stated that the general standard of cricket in the club had been fairly high last year. Although not successful in winning any grade championships, most of the teams were fairly high in their respective grades, since the club had been declared the champion club of the season. Appreciation of the Auckland Cricket Association's action in providing an indoor practice . wicket for use in the winter months was expressed. The following officers were elected:— President,. Dr. H. C. Bennett; vice-presi-dents, same as last year; secretary, Mr. T. E. Smith; treasurer, Mr. S. J. Smith ; gear steward, Mr. S. J~ Smith; hon. auditors, Messrs. Eyre, Wilson; club captain, Mr. W. J. Coates; management committee, Messrs. Jj. Colebourne, H. Webb, S. Townshend, I>. Sannders, H. Jaques, W. Mclndoe. A. Player; delegates 'to Auckland Cricket Association, Messrs. A. Jaques, W. J. Coates, D. H. Saunders. The following trophies were awarded: — Vercoe Cup, for the best bowling average In .the senior grade A, Mr. W. J. Coates; Mr. P. T. Eyre's bat for the best batting average in second grade, Mr. W. Ormiston. The balance-sheet showed a balance of assets over liabilities of £139 1/.

BALMORAL CLUB,
