OBITUARY.

MR. H. NYSERG.

. An old resident of Auckland, Mr. Halberg (Harry) NybergV'died in the Auckland Hospital on September 15 at the age of 88 years. Ho was born in Stockholm, Sweden, .and came to Auckland in the ship King of Italy in 1865. For a time Mr. Nyberg had a cabinet and joinery business in "Wakefield Street and then was in the building trad© at Thames. Later he returned to Auckland, and upon his I'etiremenfc eoine years ago, went to liv& with his son at Brown's Bay. Hβ is survived by the following children—Messrs. Ernest Nyberg (Brown's Bay), Herbert (Dunedin), Thomas (Mount Albert) and Mrs. H.' Carter (Gisborne). There are eleven grandchildren and three great-grand-children.

MRS. H. J. SIRCOMBE.

A pioneer settler of Rangiatea district, Mrs. Hannah Jan 6 Sirconibe, has died, aged 6r years. Her husband, the late Mr. T. Sircombe, took up a section of virgin country- 25 years ago and by hard work converted it into, one of the best dairy farms in the district. Mrs. Sircombe leaves one daughter and six sons. i"

MRS. F. B. JOLLY.

A resident of the Waikato for 50 years, Mrs. Elizabeth Emily Jolly, wife of Mr. F. B. Jolly, died at Frankton on September 15 aged 63 years. §he was a daughter of the late Rev. R. 0. C. Biggs, one time vicar of St. Peter's Church, Hamiltbn. 'Mrfi. Jolly : was born in Auckland and went to the Waikato with her parents. Later she wag teaching at Hamilton East,, Cambridge, and Tauwhare. She was married : ,to Mr. ! Jolly in 1895. Deceased is survived "by her husband and the following children:—Mr. T. D. Jolly, of Wharepuhunga, Mrs. J. Oliphant, of Te Awamutu, Mrs. R. Worley, of Hamilton, and Misses T.. and B. Jolly, of Hamilton. !

MR. FRANK MEYJER.

{By Telegraph.—Own Correspondent.)' DAKGAVILLE, this day. The death occurred at Tβ Kopuru Hospital of Mr. Frank Meyer, at the age of 83 years, after a short illness. Arriving in New Zealand from Cologne at the age of 18 years, the late Mr. Meyer saw a good deal of the vicissitudes of early pioneering. He was on the Otago gold diggings, and later lived pat Wellington. He was employed at the Tβ Kopuru sawmill and afterwards at the hospital. His wife died 20 years ago at Tβ Kopuru. Mr. Meyer leaves the following family:—-Mesdames A. Joass/ Onerahi; J. Lees, Mangawharej K. McVeigh, Point Chevalier; J. Biggar, Kauri; A. Hayes, Maungaturoto; F. Johnson, Rukuhia; and Messre. F.
