SOUTH AUCKLAND CENTBB. HARDLEY SHIELD GAMES. (By Telegraph.—Own Correspondent.) MATAMATA, this day. A meeting of the executive of the South Auckland Centre was held last evening, Mr. Meredith presiding. A letter was received from the Auckland Centre 'suggesting December 2 as the datu for the Hardley Shield games in Auckland, eight rinks from each centre, Auckland and South Auckland, to take part. It was decided to play North Waikato, eight rinks, at I'ukekohe on the afternoon of December 3. Applications from the Cambridge, Thames and Te Awamutu Clubs for permission to hold full rink tournaments *at Easter were approved. It was decided that no further applications for these dates for full rink tourneys be entertnined. The ■ Hamilton Club was granted permission, to hold a pairs tourney at Easter.

DEVONPORT CLUB

Following will be teams to represent the Devonport Bowling Club in a match against the Commercial Travellers at Devonport on Saturday : —Koefoed, Atkin, Gooding, Morgan; Connell, Rees-George, Mason, Elvy; Moore, Markham, Goldsworthy, Melville; FuUjames, E. - Buchanan, Newbegin, Anderson. The following match will be played in the Devonport Bowling Club's winter stars competition on Saturday : —Naylor, Elmsley, Watson, Cox ■v. Richards, McLeod, Layzell, Snoad (holders).

MOUNT ALBERT TOURNEY,

The Mount Albert Bowling Club's pairs tourney was played yesterday, in spite of inclement weather conditions. Sixteen teams entered, the competition being finalised in the fifth round, when H. and F. Tomlinson (Mount Albert) ,met A. Brown and F. Livingstone (Onehunga). Each had secured four wins. Victory went to the former pair by a good margin.
