Sir Otto Niemeyer, of the Bank of England,-who is advising the New Zealand Government upon currency and banking, returned from Rotorua to-day and. was the guest of Cabinet and' members of Parliament at ah informal function.' • . .- .

It is expected that he will leave for Sydney by the Maunganui on September 25. •

It is possible that Sir Otto will pay a short visit to the South Island, leavr ing Wellington to-morrow evening and returning on Tuesday morning. rangements for the trip/have not been finalised, and should he go it will be merely for the purpose of seeing something of Christchurch and qther parts.
