KXTNTLY APPROVES PROPOSAL ' TWO-TO-ONE MAJORITY. (By SEelegrapb.—Own Correspondent.) HUNTLY, Wednesday. A poll was taken at Huntly to-day by the Town Board on the proposal that a Borough of Huntly be created. The result of the voting was as follows: , In favour, • 2 " 3 Against »•: 136 Informal •••• 1 Majority in favour .... 137 It is understood that the Town Board wjU approach"tho responsible autho'ritiea to ascertain if an election for Mayor arid' councillors can be held shortly, and if thie is possible, a poll will be taken as soon as possible. Under ordinary circumstances, an election would not take place until next May, and the present Town Board members would remain in office until then.
