When Rhodes, the famous, Yorkshire cricketer, was bowled for three at the closing match at Scarborough, he walked to the pavilion amid applause that could not have been greater if he had made a double century. The crowd was farewelling one of the greatest of cricketers from first-class cricket.

When asked what were his feelings, Rhodes said: "I caiinot really say. I shall miss cricket, but a man cannot go on forever."

Wyatt presented Rhodes with the hall with which ho had taken the last five wickets. . . , •

The coroner, found that Major G. A. Faulkner, the former South African Test cricketer, who was found gassed in the ..office'-of'.Ms cricket school, at Fiilhauij committed suicide by gas poisoning while of an unsound mind. He expressed his regret that such, a great cricketer and popular' figure .should die in such a manner. ■
