OLD THAMES BOYS.
QUARTERLY REUNION.
The quarterly meeting of members of the Old Thames Boys' Association was held on Saturday evening. Air. W. Blomfleld presiding. The visitors included several members of the crew of the steamer Penybryn. Mr. Blomfield made reference to tlvj way in which the master and all hands of the Penybryn had upheld the traditions of the sea. A toast to the crew was proposed by Captain R. H. Gibbons, and briefly acknowledged by one of the crew. Other toasts included Thames Footballers, proposed by Mr. Blomfield, who mentioned that during the afternoon the Thames team had beaten Auckland at the Thames. The toast was acknowledged by several old Thames players. The toast of "Other Sports,'' proposed by Mr. M. Lenihan, was responded to by Mr. W. A. VYilkinson, Who gave a short history of the America Cup contest. A first-class musical programme was contributed by Messrs. Meldrum, Cooper, McMiun, Caivert, . .ed Port, Sheldon Kindly. Matthews, Samuels, and two of Penybryn's crew.
