'•In spite of some necessary curtailing of expenditure; the wings oi the Publicity Department have not been clipped/' said the Hon. P. A. de la Perrelle, Minister in charge of the Department, to-day.
"Indeed," added the Minister, "great activity is at present being shown overeeas in placing our wares before likely tourists. We nave opened up offices in Canada and new ones are being provided in Australia. We are spying out America afresh. I hope the coming season will even eclipse tbe last one 3 which was very good."
The Minister's statement was made in reply to the criticism that a crippling blow had been aimed at the Department.
