MAORI BY-ELECTION.
ORGANISING PROCEEDING,
The organiser of the Young Maori party. Mr. Hone Tamihana, has been in the "Auckland district during the last few days arranging for committees throughout the northern part of the Western Maori electorate district to work in the interests of Mr. Pei te Hurinui-Jones, the Independent candidate, who is contesting the by-election. He was selected by the party on account of the special study that he has made for some years oi the problems confronting the Maori people. Mr. Tamihana leaves for the South this evening.
