GISBORNE AIRPORT.
RELIEF WORKS RESUMED
Telegraph.—Own Correspondent.)
GISBORNE, this day.
Work on the Gkborne airport scheme was resumed to-day, when the 75 men paid off last Wednesday returned to the works.
The decision to continue with the work is the result of representations made to the Government by the Gisborne Borough Council and members of Parliament. Advice was received from Wellington on Saturday that Cabinet had decided to subsidise the work and thus- make it possible.
