DISPUTE OVER SUSTENANCE

The committee stages of the Unemployment Bill will be continued in the House of Representatives to-morrow, when a determined effort will be made to complete consideration of the measure. It is not the present intention of the Acting-Prime Minister, the Hon. E. A.
Ransom, to ask for urgency. The main contentious clause remaining is the sustenance provision, but over this there is a possibility of the Reform pa rty co mproini~ ill g. It" h anticipated that the report of the Health Committee on the Nurses and Midwives' Registration Bill will bo presented in the afternoon.
