SCHOOL TRAINING IDEALS.
In England the beginning of the holidays, as here, is the occasion when educationists bring out some new ideal of etliical training, or attempt to put the old ideals in some new, way before.the public. Sucli an occasion happened recently in England, and it is of interest to note that many headmasters and head.touched on the need of self control rather than that of self expression,! about which; w/e have heard so much in late years. Childhood in fact is, and should be, the time of non-responsibility, for responsibility will assuredly - come later. "This is the age of self expression, should -we not rather .call it the age of self advertisement?" At Folixstowe Ladies' College the headmaster referred to the beauty of sincerity, so that -a true person making the conventional statement, "I am glad to see you," finds it true eveii as she says it.
